An M12 coach screw for fixing big timber like a pergola beam or a sleeper to timber, where an ordinary wood screw won't hold.

It's a Macsim hex head coach screw in Class 4.6 steel, zinc plated for inside or sheltered jobs. The thread cuts its own way into the timber and the hex head takes a spanner or a socket, so you can drive it down hard until the head seats. Drill a pilot hole first, because the shank is thicker than a normal screw and it'll split the timber if you don't. Zinc plating isn't made for the weather, so go galvanised for anything out in the open.

Sold each, so you can grab exactly what the job needs. Full specs are in the tabs below, and if you want a hand picking the length or a washer to go with it, call us on (08) 8536 4333 or come in and chat with us at 34-52 Milnes Rd, Strathalbyn.
