Why Haymes Paint Is Worth the Investment

Make Every Stroke Count: Why Choosing Haymes Paint Pays Off

There's something deeply satisfying about rolling on a fresh coat of paint and seeing your space transformed right before your eyes. Whether you’re refreshing the loungeroom or bringing some wow-factor to the front porch, the right product matters. And let’s be honest—there’s no joy in cutting corners just to end up repainting six months down the line because the colour faded or started flaking. That’s where Haymes Paint shines. It’s not just paint. It’s peace of mind with a roller brush.

Built on Family, Backed by Quality

Haymes Paint is Australian born and bred. It's been run by the same family since day one, which, if you ask me, gives it that old-school quality where nothing leaves the shelf unless it passes their own high standard. So if you're someone who sees every DIY job as a personal mission (hi, we’re kindred spirits), you’ll love that Haymes takes quality just as seriously as you do. From interiors to exteriors, there's a trusted product to match every project—and it's built to last.

No More Guesswork: It Works How It Says It Will

Let’s talk performance. Whether you're dealing with patchy walls, tired weatherboards, or a high-humidity bathroom, Haymes Paint somehow always delivers. Haymes Ultra Premium Expressions Interior Low Sheen lets your colour do the talking while holding up beautifully to daily wear and those inevitable bumped toy trucks and chair scrapes. It’s washable, scuff-resistant, and dries with a finish that's smooth as butter.

I remember painting my niece’s bedroom—we went with a soft lilac from the Haymes range. Don’t even get me started on how easy it was to apply. It stuck like a dream on bare plaster, coverage was fantastic, and even going over old beige didn’t need more than two coats. That colour’s still going strong, three birthdays later, with walls still looking fresh as the day we finished.

Colour That Stays True

You know how swatches never quite look the same once they’re on your wall? That heart-sinking moment of, “That’s not what I signed up for”? Haymes has nailed the technology behind richer, truer colour payoff. It's not about just slapping on a trendy shade and PRAYING it looks good in your light. It’s about working with formulas that stay vibrant long after the brush is cleaned. Their approach to colour consistency means your feature wall won't turn into a faded-out version of your initial dream six months later.

It’s Not Just About Paint—It’s About the Experience

If you’re standing in the aisle, overwhelmed by finishes, undercoats, and wall prep advice you half-remember from some Insta reel, you’re not alone. The beauty of choosing Haymes, especially when you pick it up from us at Strathalbyn H Hardware, is that you're not flying solo. You get professional advice, local know-how, and a community of people who genuinely care about your project turning out great. And trust me—we want to see photos once you're done.

Looking for a tough-as-nails exterior option? The Haymes Solashield Exterior Low Sheen is a stunner. It's UV-resistant, self-priming, and tough enough to handle unpredictable weather. The finish is smooth, modern, and made for Aussie conditions—even the humid spots near the coast.
