Diggers Methylated Spirits 1L

Methylated spirits is one of those bottles that earns its spot on the shelf a dozen different ways. It's a denatured alcohol that cuts grease and dries fast, so it leaves glass, mirrors, tiles and benchtops streak-free where a wet cloth just smears.

Around the workshop it thins shellac and some lacquers, cleans paint off brushes, lifts ink and sticker residue off non-porous surfaces, and works as a windscreen washer additive. It's a handy timber floor cleaner too.

Keep a bottle on hand and you'll find a use for it most weeks.
